昭和54年から進められている「浜松市の音楽のまちづくり」は、国際的なコンクールや芸術性豊かな公演など質の高い事業をはじめ、音楽を通した国内外の交流事業、アクトシティ浜松や楽器博物館の開設、アクトシティ音楽院の創設、そして、市民自らが参加し創り出すさまざまな文化事業など国際レベルから市民レベルに至るまで、数多くの施策を続けています。
平成6年にアクトシティ浜松がオープン、翌々年3月その施設を活用し、コンサートピアニストの育成を目的とした「第1回浜松国際ピアノアカデミー」が開催されました。ピアニストである中村紘子氏を音楽監督に迎え、著名な教授陣による公開レッスン、レクチャーコンサートシリーズ、そして受講生達が実際の国際コンクールの環境を実体験できるアカデミーコンクールを基本に、最新のテーマに基づいた多角的なカリキュラムで、浜松ならではのアカデミーを展開しています。

Hamamatsu City has been endeavoring to become a City of Music since 1979 by continuing to hold various events from local events to international events, including high-quality events such as international competition and art-related rich performances, friendship exchange of both local and abroad through music, establishment of ACT City Hamamatsu and Hamamatsu Museum of Musical Instruments, foundation of ACT City Academy of Music, and events which citizens participate and create by themselves.
ACT City Hamamatsu has been established since 1995, and the 1st Hamamatsu International Piano Academy, nurturing young pianists who hope to be a concert pianists, was held on March of following year in ACT City Hamamatsu. Pianist Hiroko Nakamura was invited as Music Director. The academy, based on master classes by well-known professors, lecture concert series and Academy Competition which the students are able to experience the atmosphere and system of actual international competition, develops with the excellent curriculum based on the newest topics and originality of Hamamatsu.

カリキュラム - Curriculum -
浜松国際ピアノアカデミーは、「世界に通用するコンサートピアニスト」の育成を目指し、中村紘子音楽監督が企画したレッスン方式で行います。国内外から招く著名な教授陣により、コンサートピアニストとしての技巧・表現からステージマナーまで、実践的な指導をします。
The Hamamatsu International Piano Academy aims to produce world-class professional concert pianists. Lessons are given in the style that was planned by the Music Director Hiroko Nakamura. Professors from Japan and overseas, who are renowned performers and juries of major competitions, will give various instructions, such as techniques, expression, and stage manner.
受講生24名が3名ずつをひと組として、8グループに分かれ、午前・午後4グループずつ各教授のレッスンを受けます。
期間中計4回、レッスン1回あたりの目安は60分です。
(レッスン時間はあくまでも目安であり、教授により異なることがあります)
4グループがレッスン中は、残りの4グループは各自聴講、または練習をします。
レッスンは1対1で行われ、同組の残り2名の受講生は、必ず聴講することを原則とします。
期間中計4回、レッスン1回あたりの目安は60分です。
(レッスン時間はあくまでも目安であり、教授により異なることがあります)

24 students are divided into 8 groyps (3 students per group). Professors will give lesson to 4 groups n the morning and the other 4 groups in the afternoon (Duration of one lesson for each student is about 60 minutes).
While 4 groups are taking the lessons, the students of the other 4 gruoups can audit the lessons or practice.
Lessons are given by a one-to-one basis. Students are required to auditing the lessons of their group members.

ソロレッスンと同じ個人レッスン形式で行います。(伴奏者はつきません)

Concerto lesson are given by one-to-one basis as same as solo lessons (without accompanist).

アカデミーの最後に行う模擬コンクールです。
3社の公式ピアノ選びから始まり、予選・本選の2ステージは実際のコンクールさながらの方式と審査で行われます。
アカデミーで培った実力の成果を試し、発表すると共に、コンサートピアニストとして、本番に臨むために大変重要な演奏面、体力面での総合的なコンディションの整え方を、教授のアドバイスを受けながら実体験します。
3社の公式ピアノ選びから始まり、予選・本選の2ステージは実際のコンクールさながらの方式と審査で行われます。
アカデミーで培った実力の成果を試し、発表すると共に、コンサートピアニストとして、本番に臨むために大変重要な演奏面、体力面での総合的なコンディションの整え方を、教授のアドバイスを受けながら実体験します。
A mock competition will be held as a final event. Starting with the selection of one piano aut of 3 official pianos, preliminary and final competition will be held taking the actial international competitions of today with juries present. The competition is an opportunity for participants not only to present what they have accomplished during the academy but also learn from direct experience, and advice of professors, how to prepare themselves artistically, mentally and physically for actual performance situations.

- ※ 演奏曲目は予選・本選ともに受講曲から選択肢、演奏します。予選の演奏曲はアカデミー期間中に受講生が選択します。
- ※ 予選・本選ともに、受講生は自分の出場以外の時間は聴衆として参加します。(必須)
- ※ 本選用の楽譜は、伴奏者用にも必ず用意してください。
- ※ ピアノアカデミーコンクールで特に優秀として認められた場合は、審査員の協議により、国際ピアノコンクールへの推薦状が贈られます。
- ※ 本選出場者には、順位に応じて奨学金を授与します。
- ※ 優秀成績者に「中村紘子賞」を特別授与します。
- ※ Competition pieces for both the prelimnary and final competition will be selected from among those stusied during the academy.Students will be asked to select which works they will perform during the period of the academy.
- ※ Students are required to listen to the other contestants' performances from the audience seats when they are not performing on the competition.
- ※ Students must prepare sheet music for their accompanist for the competition.
- ※ A letter of recommendation to participate in international piano competitions will be awarded to students who have shown excellent ability during the Piano Academy Competition. In addition, some students may specially be given the opportunity to perform in a concert.
- ※ Participants in the finals will be awarded scholarships, with prize amounts cased on ranking.
- ※ "Hiroko Nakamura Prize" will be specially awarded to a high-achieving student.
